My pen profile reads a bit like a recipe: Take one happy childhood in Germany and add teenage years in the German education system. Move to the UK and spend approximately a decade in various office jobs, followed by just over a decade raising children and furthering education in the British system. Return to work as a primary school teaching assistant, followed by a degree in Educational Studies, a Trinity CertTESOL and DET. Advance from TA to adult education tutor and teach languages: German and ESOL. Continue journey by accessing CPD opportunities as they arise and aim higher. A recipe for success? I think so, but there is no end product as the journey continues!

Dealing with technical problems
This module has been so useful for me, not least because it has made me realise that 'we're all in the same boat' and 'Es ist noch kein Meister vom Himmel gefallen' (=no one is born a master).
I'm so grateful to be a part of the EDS Project because ordinarily, there is no allowance for learning how to deal with technical problems within working hours for me as a sessional tutor. No wonder so many of us aren't as IT literate as we should be!

Using devices
Very helpful, especially the videos because I like learning in this way. It's good to understand what everything means; e.g., I didn't know what 'firmware' and 'wetware' are but now I do!
