EdTech: New skills for old: Automation and the future of work
Technology has brought dramatic changes in the way we live. It is not possible to second guess the nature or rate of change in any particular aspect of life with any accuracy, but it is possible for learners to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding that will help them to adjust and thrive.
Aim
A view of the changing employment landscape, considering its emerging impact on skills requirements and the implications for curriculum content and delivery.
Objective
After completing the module you will be able to: - assess the impact of technological change on the employment market in your vocational area in the medium term (2 - 5 years). - consider the implications of automation for the skills your learner groups must develop in order to succeed and thrive in their employment.
