EdTech: Managing learning online: guidance & interaction
A strength of learning in a classroom has been the immediacy of interaction between learners and teacher. Teachers are looking for a balance between having a culture of collective and common effort and personalised methods of achieving it. How might teachers guide, and interact with learners in getting this balance right?
Aim
How to manage and deliver guidance and interaction in online learning.
Objective
After completing this module, you will be able to:
- Implement and sustain regular, timely scheduled reviews and interventions with individual learners and groups
- Follow up and respond quickly to emerging issues
Digital Teaching Professional Framework
This module covers the EdTech component - B4a : Teaching context: fully online - towards a community of learning
- Set up learning activities in digital environments, having foreseen learners' needs for guidance and catering for them.
- Interact with learners in digital environments.
- Digitally monitor learner behaviour during a session and offer guidance when needed.
- Use digital technologies to remotely monitor learner progress and intervene when needed, while allowing for self-regulation.
- Experiment with and develop new forms and formats for offering guidance and support, using digital technologies.
