Funny though that one of the questions in the main section is asking for three out of four but then only have two right answers?
I found the information clear and useful, however I found that some of the questions in the end quiz misleading. Ether the module is not getting the learning across effectively or the quiz section in this module is not well written.
I am left wondering if I understand what I think I understand or if I am actually not getting it at all.
Cool
I think there could have been more information, however this has given me leads to assist with building lessons from I have learned.
very helpful
It's an important topic. Very helpful.
Note! 2.Buying Safely: Scam sites in the task "Which of the following are warning signs that a site is not trustworthy?" - the 1st option statement is incorrect. It should say "small range" as specified in feedback, not "large range"
A couple of typos on the tests! Otherwise a useful module.
very useful information
Colour scheme not good at all for anyone with visual impairments.
Too right I have earned this badge. I lost count of how many times I had to retake that quiz. Nearly threw my computer against the wall!
That question on Christmas toys is seriously obscure and I never managed to get it right - how many times did I get 88% because of that one question?
very useful and i will pass on ideas to learners in bespoke lessons
gave me more know ledge about scam
Helpful on scam sites
THIS MODULE WAS A EYE OPENER VERY GOOD
a good module
a useful module,
A multiple choice question asked for three options but the correct answer was only 2 options.
The quiz for most of the transacting courses had good but this one was pretty poor. Two particular issues:
"Which of the following are not likely to feature on price comparison websites?" The answer for some reason was web design services. This is incorrect, I have definitely visited comparison sites for web design and as an example, I found this comparison site after one quick google search https://www.websitebuilderexpert.com/website-builders/comparisons/
Another issue was "When comparing the total cost of an item between different sellers you should always take into account which two of the following:" one of the correct answers was the country that the item is dispatched from. This makes no logical sense at all.
A few good ideas to use in the classroom
I learnt some good advice on online shopping.
Please check your question on warning signs as there are only 2 correct answers.
Very interesting indeed!
A very important module but some of the answers to the question seemed debatable, eg I am sure I have seen comparison sites comparing web design services!
Also the question about price comparison did not include the specification of the product but included time to arrive, which is not a cost factor.
I just realise this is a really important subject so we need to give clear guidance.
However generally a good module.
One other comment about the language. Words like validation/verification etc and their meanings can be quite challenging for learners without good English which is a significant minority of the ICT learners I see.
Michael McDonald
Useful and thought provoking. Made me consider things that I do automatically and how I would put these over to learners.
