This module looks at the types of digital activities that leave a 'digital footprint' and understand the personal implications for the user in having those footprints. It includes considering how to make the most of leaving information in web sites that help form relationships and speed up interactivity, and those where the opposite effects occur that relate to how others may misjudge actions and abuse having personal data about other's use that may have been unwittingly or maliciously obtained.

Really helpful course. Thanks
The information about common passwords was useful and how to check apps via their settings on what privacy you are agreed to.
Obsolete links - checking your own digital footprint
great
This was a very helpful module.
Interesting course, love it
This module was useful for starting points with my own learners on privacy and unnecessary sharing of opinions in the public domain. The interview video is a good resource and would prove a good discussion starter.
Good
good
Enjoyed topic.
Useful module! It touches on GDPR and security. It would be great to see some deeper thought on passwords, particularly the complexity requirements, and perhaps in line with current thoughts on human friendly but random word themed passwords.
Very informative and reiterated elements I knew already as well as a refresher
Very intersting links to check personal security
Really enjoyed this section. Lots of useful information that I will benefit from knowing along with having an understanding so that I can share with my learners
A good basic grounding in e-safety
Interesting. Good tips on how to teach this. Materials were useful too - GDPR, young person interview, etc.
all good
A useful Module with some very important points that people need to be aware of
Would definitely like advice on how to encourage learners to access and manage data on personal / social media without compromising their privacy
very useful i have now improved in this area
Really useful for all the terminology
very interesting about keeping safe on the internet
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS MODULE IT RELATE TO MY JOB ROLE
A good Module
useful - easy to adapt in teaching with learners
a useful module to review online safety
There wasn't a lot on how to get learners engaged with this topic.
I have been introducing my L1 & L2 learners to their digital identity for some time, it's good to get some new resources to support this
Most quizzes I've done have been 1 or 2 *s but this one was good.
Good links to useful sites that I will use with my learners on here
Very interesting. I knew a lot already, but learnt a lot too.
This will have made the idea of the implications of a digital footprint much clearer for some people, especially those who choose to interact widely on social media. People can do a lot of damage to their reputations without realising and being more aware of this at an earlier stage could prevent this. Teaching this to learners could help prevent many issues later on.
Good.
