Digital tools for summative assessment
Computer-based tests and digital media are widely used in formative assessment.
This module looks at their use for enhancing low stakes summative assessment activities, where the goal is to test and confirm that a learner has completed a block of work, and for programmes such as NVQ, where they can contribute to the body of evidence submitted for verification.

After completing this module you will
- understand the opportunities for using digital tools to set and deliver summative assessments
- be encouraged to experiment with alternative summative assessment activities
- able to construct a strategy for successful summative assessment using digital tools
