EdTech: How to tread a positive digital footprint
Each time we contribute to the web, in public spaces and in private spaces we share, we leave a trail for others to find.

Using real world examples relevant to the setting, e.g. Linkedin or professional emails and messaging for 'modelling' digital footprints, could work well.
Really useful module to think about my own social media and how i can model good practice to learners
brilliant . short and useful. I like the drag and drop
I really enjoyed this one. Thought provoking and some really simple ideas presented for working with students.
Excellent introduction to digital footprint
Excellent way to present how to tread a positive digital footprint.
The pace at which all these digital skills eg using messaging tools (communication), cloud-based tools
(collaboration, teamwork, creativity), and social media (research, critical thinking) have grown over the last year has kept me on my toes. I have learnt how to make sure my profiles are private but have found since the cloud based servers have come on line that the cloud concept confuses me and makes me nervous in the way that the Facebook and the Instagram did at first. It is just another way of saving and working on files and I have some aspects of working on line and researching very engaging, I think I enjoy the challenge of completing a course on line. what I find hard and challenging is the absence of paper based note taking! So I cannot re-read and think about the learning creatively like I would in a sketch pad...Trello maybe ? mmm
Awful
Super!
A good look through
Some useful content.
With my emphasis on learners with limited experience of ICT its important to emphasise these points from the start - maybe by highlighting news stories that relate the problems that can arise when information and/or pictures are shared unwisely.
Good
very useful and I will heed the advice.
Critical thinking about online comments
Disagree on one of the positives but the rest is informative.
some of the phrasing on the positive/negative statements was not very clear
The module explains the negative effect of technology
yes its useful to be reminded and remind your learners - google your learners and colleaugues
Very thought provoking
Useful to start discussions about judgement from others online, subjectivity etc
poor layout needs to be more intuitive
Have altered my Youtube account settings because of this module
The overall concept of the unit is a helpful reminder of how we should be offering guidance to our learners at the moment as most of our interactions are online. The resource section was particularly useful and will be great for sharing with my learners.
Very good. the requirements are set out clearly for all to understand.
Interesting course especially finding out on the Internet what was my digital footprint. I will now always check my settings in the applications that I use.
Highlights clearly how positive online behaviours can be of benefit
Certainly gets you thinking about your digital footprint!
Thanks really useful
Straightforward to complete not time consuming
Useful in terms of promoting awareness of digital footprint.
Easy enough
Has made me re-think strategies to give my learners in developing their digital footprint.
good module
This was interesting and also I have never "googled" myself and was interested to see what is online about me.
A lot of it commonsense
Digital etiquette is something that we all should be more aware of.
I think this is a great module and helps people understand about digital footprint as well.
Very brief
exercise required a more detailed preview to determine correct answers
again poor and without new content or looking into current issues, such as the regulation of online platforms
Interesting article on how to use and stay safe when creating your digital footprint.
Tutors have a responsibility to help their students understand their digital profile and the affect it will have on their futures. This course shows this and handles the subject well.
