I work in a large FE group on a smaller campus, I am Head of Early years, health and Sport
I teach across level 1 to 3 in early years and supporting teaching and learning courses and we are in an area of deprivation so some students struggle with access to technology

How did you use the learning from this module in your teaching context?

I have worked through several modules now, and before I started I believed that my knowledge of digital support and how I was using my time was good, however after completing the modules on learner progress and support it has allowed me to reflect on how I am using my own time and is what I'm doing really benefitting the students in terms of what I am planning to do; in practice the... more

What worked well?

I am a reflective practitioner by nature and these modules have allowed me to explore my practice in an area I may not have considered previously- I feel that my lessons are better, more engaging and the learners are getting more from me.

What would you do differently next time?

Moving forward I am going to be more aware of what I am doing and how I am perceived to my students; accepting that online teaching is different to face to face teaching will be at the forefront of my delivery and practice moving forward.
