The establishment which i currently work within is a Large FE College where we also deliver HE and WBL programmes within the engineering sectors (Mechanical and Electrical). How did you use the learning from this module in your teaching context?

The intention of completing this suite of CPD activities was not only to enhance my own skills but to also increase the use of technology in the engineering department as a whole, barriers in previous academic years have been that mobile devices and technology has been seen as unsafe to use in a workshop environment. What worked well?

Having all learners being able to access and use technology and equipment that was suitable for the intended learning activities was extremely useful and the feedback from the learners involved in the pilot group expressed their gratitude for the opportunity. What would you do differently next time?

With the equipment loan system there where instances when the logistics of collecting and returning of the devices became an issue, for future cohorts I have discussed with the facilities staff using a designated collection/drop off hub rather than personally being responsible for the collection and return as this added a level of pressure which was not anticipated to its full extent.
