I work at Loughborough College (FE) as a Trainer Assessor, delivering apprenticeships through blended delivery model in the workplace and onsite at our campus. I deliver Level 2 Adult Care Worker and Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship standards. I am also a Digital Learning Champion for the college. How did you use the learning from this module in your teaching context?

Funnily enough, my first delivery after this module I had trouble with connectivity. Learners as usual brought their own devices into college. Usually, I have some spare laptops with me just in case of any issues, but on this occasion I didn't. What worked well?

Learner involvement. By asking what the learners had done and sharing this with their peers, some were able to connect thanks to support and guidance from their peers. This demonstrated to me the importance of this module and has opened my eyes to involving my learners more should issues arise

What would you do differently next time?

In hindsight, I will always make sure I have laptops to save any delays in starting the session. I usually do , so I am unsure why on this occasion I didn't, but this validates the importance of me being prepared for every eventuality beforehand.
