My role is a Trainer Assessor and I support and train apprentices working towards apprenticeship standards in Customer Service Practitioner and Business Administrator for the apprenticeship team in an FE college. How did you use the learning from this module in your teaching context?

In inital meetings with newly enrolled apprentices and thier employer, I will check what facilities are available in the workplace, request the apprentice has access to a quiet study room for a few hours per week, a laptop or desktop pc with camera and headset. What worked well?

I created a resource in thinglink which enables you to add video and voice over, this was to explain a resource that we require all of our apprentices to complete as part of their apprenticeship. I can use this as a flipped learning resource, asking them to read and view this prior to our next session, this gives the apprentice some confidence coming into the next session and they feel more... more

What would you do differently next time?

I will continue to add narrative to resources, I will review PowerPoint content and look at breaking down the content into more slides or resources, I will continue to ensure the VLE has lots of different types of resources and use a range of media and digital tools.
