I work at Loughborough College (FE) as a Trainer Assessor, delivering apprenticeships through blended delivery model in the workplace and onsite at our campus. I deliver Level 2 Adult Care Worker and Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship standards. I am also a Digital Learning Champion for the college. How did you use the learning from this module in your teaching context?

This module has encouraged me to think about the tools I use and how this supports engagement. There were 2 key things that really stood out for me in this module. Firstly, the fact we encourage BYOD, but there may not be equal access to devices that meet the needs of the learners or that meet the needs of the taught sessions. What worked well?

An engaging delivery allowing everyone the opportunity to be involved without putting them on the spot. More of an inclusive classroom experience. The fact I was able to deliver to learners in the classroom and attending through TEAMS. The tools used supported this and did not impact negatively at all for anyone

What would you do differently next time?

I do need to consider whether all learners fully engaged with the activity. I cannot be sure that there was full engagement and this is something I need to consider further as to how to measure this
