I am a programme leader in an FE college, my teaching journey began in 2013, and I mainly teach HE and L3 Btec Construction related courses. The learners are generally keen to pursue a career in' professional construction' fields such as architecture and site engineer.

How did you use the learning from this module in your teaching context?

The learning from this module helped me to consider strategies in my own teaching to minimise the possibilities of disruption. Teaching is moving more towards digital platforms and this will soon be the norm, however this is very reliant on the users, the facilitator and the technological infrastructure.

What worked well?

Actually putting the advice from the module into practice-initiating the back up plan, then tackling the issue. This in a way helped my own digital CPD and helped me to overcome a fear of the tech not working.

What would you do differently next time?

Next time, I will try to make more time to go to the room and check the planned technology prior to the session instead of arriving at the session with the students in tow, which I now realise was poop planning on my behalf.
