I am curriculum lead for Community Learning Organisation and Digital skills teacher. I am responsible for developing digital learning offer for all subjects. I looked at my current skills and reflected on what I can add to the tools/Apps I already use. I also, reflected on how any new tool will make teaching and learning easier and accessible. How did you adapt/modify activities and/or resources for your context providing alternative approaches with specific reference to The Digital Teacher practices?
After learning about Google Forms, I chose a specific group of learners who where struggling completing assignments and learner reflection booklets online and decided to change the assignments to Google Forms. I changed Word document learner booklet we use during Face to Face delivery to Google Forms so it works online.
I also changed quizzes for Computing for beginners from Word document to Google forms with images and audio to build learners confidence and make courses accessible online for learners with limited digital skills.

What worked well, or did not work so well? How would you approach the activity/use the resource differently next time?
Learner reflections worked really well and I received all the reflections back because learners found it easier to complete. The quizzes worked well too but i could have added Answer Key to make the quizzes self-marking. I will edit my quizzes and add answers an well as feedback so learners will see correct answers with explanation.
How did the learning from the module(s) impact on the quality of the learning experience?
It made me improve the digital skills of my learners as well as my own digital skills. It took the stress out of completing reflections after each session and it made collecting evidence easier.
How have you initiated strategic change/quality improvement in relation to The Digital Teacher, eg at a peer, department, organisational, regional, national level)?
My team struggled with getting work back from learners when we moved online. This was because some learners did not have the tools to download, complete work and upload to Google Classroom. What will be your next step in bringing about further change?
I will deliver a comprehensive CPD training to staff on Google Forms so they can start creating their own forms and support their learners to do the same. I will keep exploring other ways of making online accessible.
