Give a brief description of your work context and responsibilities, e.g. your teaching background, experience, type of organisation (e.g. FE college, ACL), subject/curriculum you teach/lead, your learners (skills level, any particular inclusion needs, age range of group, size of group)

I teach hairdressing to a range of learners in ability and age from 14-60. I have been teaching for over 15 years and for the past 3 years have embedded digital technology into my teaching. So much so, that this has been recognised cross college and I am now Lead Teaching, Learning and Assessment Coach for Digital Strategies

How did you use the learning from this module in your teaching context?

I have adapted my content but also going forward I am going to ask learners about what they use on a regular basis to improve accessibility, it is also very thought provoking about the new legislation coming into effect in September and something that as the Lead for digital Strategies- I will carefully consider and also think of ways of disseminating this to college staff. I use Nearpod a lot... more

What worked well?

Learners enjoyed the audio as I have a few learners who forget the names of certain areas of the skin structure. They can also use this lesson at home. In the retrievable practice I found that they remembered the names better and hopefully they will retain that information going forward

What would you do differently next time?

I would actually do more audio and video along with my collaboration tools
